Gums bleed when you brush? Lily, our LS ToothBuddy, explains in under a minute why it happens, why it is a warning sign and not 'normal' — and the simple habits that turn it around.
Here's What's Going On
When we don't clean well, a sticky film called plaque builds up along the gum line.
The germs in plaque irritate the gums, making them red, puffy, and easy to bleed.
This early stage is called gingivitis, and the bleeding is a warning sign, not something normal.
The good news? At this stage it is still reversible with good cleaning.
But if we ignore it, it can turn into serious gum disease that harms the bone.
